This performance is a unique expression of joyful life! Rhythm and vivid Brazilian dances put the spark to the audience. All over the world audiences and the press are absolutely fascinated by the "BRASIL TROPICAL" performance. There are 400 magnificently sumptuous costumes, and 40 performers including singers, exotic samba dancers, athletes and musicians. Talented and unsurpassed artistic stunts create a brilliant atmosphere of colours and rhythm.

"BRASIL TROPICAL" was first formed in Salvador, the capital of the eastern Brazilian state of Bahia by Edvaldo Carneiro and Domingos Campos. The wide range of scenes, dances and music made an impressive stage show which could be compared to no other ballet. Its source derives from the very heart of popular Brazilian art, superbly colourful and brilliant and bringing together elements from South America, Africa and Europe.

The singers, dancers and musicians show vividly the predominant influences brought by generations of African immigrants on their new country´s folklore. This essentially "African" quality comes across almost totally undiluted and around it has crystallised an Afro-Brazilian folklore. Not only are there many dances, rhythmical forms and fiestas - above all the Rio Carnival - emerged from this melting pot of several different cultures, but even certain religious observances.
